Boston Summer Camp

Introduction

· Dates: from 22 June to 20 July 2019.

 

· This program is specially designed for students and student athletes interested in improving their critical thinking capabilities, as well as improving their intelligence quotients (IQ’s) through an intensive SAT preparatory course whose principal purpose is making students eligible for merit, academic, need, or athletic scholarships, as appropriate. The necessary preparation, familiarization, and knowledge of the system make up fundamental tools to obtain this goal.

 

· This program, which has consolidated itself as a resounding success through its thirteen editions, offers an unforgettable experience that coordinates education and sports with activities and excursions.

 

· This four-week summer course is carried out in Boston and serves as a first contact with the United States, its culture, and its top universities.

 

· Afternoons are dedicated to sports trainings or recreational and à la carte cultural activities, as the case may be for each specific student.

 

· The Group Leaders (members of Ivy League Education and [group chaperones, group instructors] will be in charge of ensuring students’ stay is as satisfactory as possible. They will accompany them on their flights, travel, and excursions. Additionally, they’ll remain with the students at all activities carried out during their stay at the camp.

SAT Preparation Course

· SAT Preparatory classes are taught by instructors credentialed by Harvard and take part at the Harvard Law School building.

 

· Students can choose between a Crash Course, which consists of 20 hours of SAT preparation weekly, or a Standard Course, consisting of 12 hours of classes weekly.

 

· Classes centered around preparing for the Critical Reading / Writing sections of the SAT (which gives access to the top American universities as well as prestigious global universities).

Flight to and arrival in Boston

· Students will arrive in Boston on the selected summer course date. The program includes a member of Ivy League Education accompanying students from a number of countries.

Sports trainings

· Students will be able to choose between a number of sports: football/soccer, tennis, basketball, golf, fencing, volleyball, equestrianism, etc.

 

· Sports trainings will take place in the afternoons in intensive, three-hour daily sessions from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, four days per week.

Excursions and activities

· One day per week will be dedicated entirely to carrying out excursions, visiting the most emblematic sites in Boston: guided tours of Harvard University and Boston College, 4th of July celebrations, City of Boston and Newbury Street, Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, etc. Visit to New York.

 

· Our students will participate in leisurely and recreational activities during weekends. Among them, our visits to commercial centers, Harvard Square, and beach days stand out.

Accommodation and meals

· Two options for accommodations:
     o University dorm with group of participants
     o Stay with an American family

 

· All-inclusive meals plan (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
